Today is the 2nd part of Scouting for Food, where cub & boy scouts pick up donated food and deliver to local food banks, just in time for Thanksgiving. If scouts left a donation bag at your front door last week, please fill it wit food and place at your door for pick up.
Zander & I are about to leave for Falls Church City Troop 681's delivery location. We will help receive the donations and get them organized on the food bank shelves.
This year food banks across our country are helping many more families than last year. Our local banks are helping over 4 times the amount as 2 years ago. Do you wonder who you are helping with your donations? Most likely this includes your friends & neighbors! With unemployment so high, more families are turning to local aid. Please help your neighbors to have a family Thanksgiving as good as yours! That will give you something to feel truly thankful for.
